I'd like to see what the carbon black finish will look like...some stupid questions(I looked at the redlinemax.com site, didnt find any answers)...Is the valve cover hard to take off, is it something for the mechanic to do, since im not so 'under the hood savey'? Second, I'm in Jersey, do I save on shipping by hand delivering it? Where will I need to bring/ship it to? Third, will I still be able to drive the Max for the 6-12 days this will be off the car?
thanks

There's constant updating going on at RedlineMax.com.. I figure I'd post up the groupdeal here first. The plastic valve cover is 5 minute job, a few bolts and it comes off.

I'm by Rutgers in NJ (next to New Brunswick/Edison), you can drop it off with me and pick it up when its ready... that way you can save on shipping charge. Yes, you'll be able to drive around without it

Sparkplug cover...hehehe. You're right But I'll have to make a request to delete this thread and create a new one..PITA.

It is heat resistant.. it's been on my car for since Oct. 2001. No signs of fade. It's same paint as what is used to paint your car, with something extra

hello angie

nice work on the site/ just an idea for you/ there's a place in brooklyn called alka-plus that does carbon wraping and i was going to do a sample but never got a chance to pick up clee's old cover to do so. they told me it cost like 40-45 to wrap it and i think it would look so nice. it's the same material for the dash kits and heat resistant. i think you can sell a lot of those here.
they are open m-f.....only@#$%^&*( i work m-f )

also i got a company here in nyc to make CEFIRO emblems like the jdm spec ones cheap too. they replace the rear MAXIMA emblem in the rear.

clee?
If you're going to officially do the cf covers. Then start another thread of your own. I'm going ahead with this deal since I'm working with the shop to do the marblized covers.

Lance-
Got locked out of Maxima.org all weekend

Anyway, the mods fixed the problem. I'm still waiting for the shop to finish up on the marbleized silver and carbon black sample covers. Will post up pics as soon as they finish.

How much would a flat red be (not marbleized)? How long does the paint last?
Thanks,

Sorry about the delay..

I'm still not getting email notifications on any of my subscribed threads

DanSE, flat paintjob, just like the marbleized style, will last for as long as you own the Max. I'll get you the price Wednesday.

The shop ordered 2 spark plug covers from the dealership whom they have an acct with. They were out of stock but we'll have it on Friday. Pics will be up on Saturday.

I've had mine painted (see below) since Oct. 2001. Not a single paint chip. A lot of .org guys have seen my spark cover (and Thai's) in person, no photochop needed. I'm offering a custom paint job done by professional shop, not DYI.

This is my CAI:

Yes, you would have to send me the piping and allow 4-7 days for the paint process. I'll get you the cost on that tomorrow.

What's the finish on your s/c piping? powercoat black?
If so, it will be $175 shipped for the marbleized s/c piping. You will need to ship me your piping and allow 4-7 days for the paintjob.

Email me at ange@redlinemax.com if you're interested.

I think the finish is just painted black. Does that include the valve cover as well, or should i add an extra 100 to the 175? Anyways, i'll be in touch. Thanks again
