respectible power gains, OBX
respectible power gains, OBX
i am in the market for a catback exhaust. because of price i have pretty much decided on OBX. since people have just started really buying it and its reputation isnt the largest, i ask...... does it produce good gains? i know that i wont get more than like 4-8hp but compared to greddy and apexi, is it on par??
thanks, don

Exhaust is exhaust basically. As long as there's no banana in your tailpipe, you're gonna get similar gains from one to the other. I'd say on the order of 3-5hp, though I haven't seen any exhaust-only dynos.
Well, lots of people seem to get OBX for its price, and also its recent gain in popularity. What I want to know is, is there a difference between going with a custom exhaust (ex. Budget B Pipe + muffler) as opposed to going with an already made cat-back? In gains and stuff?

I doubt a custom bpipe and muffler will give you any more or less than a catback like obx or greddy.

So why OBX? OBX is all stainless steele and less expensive than Greddy and Apexi, the other two most popular catbacks out. Design is exactly the same except greddy has 4.5 inch tip vs OBX which is 4 inch. In fact i think apexi is just a muffler....ahh, OBX BABY!
