??/??/?? tire q

for example what does 250/46/16 mean? i know the last part is how big the rim size is but what do the others mean?

235-45-17
235 represents the width of the tire, side to side
45 represents the side wall height or profile of tire
17 of course represents the wheel diameter

I didn't use your number but it's still the same
