PCV Valve

I know PCV Valve problems come up often, but I still can't find the answer that I need. I have a Haynes Maxima book, but in the pictures, the PCV Valve looks completely different than what is actually there. In the picture, it shows the PCV valve only being hooked up to one hose, but in my car, there is a black cylinder with 3 hoses hooked up to it. Sorry to sound like a dumb*ss, but I kinda am one .... sorry for my ignorance.

When I replaced my PCV valve, it only had one hose connected to it. The PCV for this car is only supposed to have one hose? You sure you're looking at the right spot, it should be right next to the cylinders on the right side. It's kind of a b*tch to replace because there is this stupid metal bar, it took me like 10 minutes just for this simple thing..

You're probably looking at the purge control volume valve or whatever the exact name is. Look down and slightly to the right of it. One hose going into the PCV valve. The photos posted show it. Only ones I've actually seen in real life are blue, but yours could be different.
