Battery and Brake light

I originally posted that it was the brake and seatbelt light that came on but, after paying close attention, it's the brake and battery light.
They come on together simultaneously for 1 - 15 seconds randomly. There is nothing I can do to recreate it on purpose. It doesnt seem to matter if i'm on the freeway or stopped at a light, the car does not bog or choke. The instrument lights stay bright. There seems to be nothing wrong with the car. It's a 95gle with 206,xxx miles. Any ideas? Anyone seen this?

It's probably your alternator/AC belt slipping. If it doesn't squeal too bad, you can try a can of belt dressing.

I got the same problem , but I know what mine is from. The S/C belt shredded and threw them. The brake light is probibly because I need to replace the rear brakes.

Belt doesnt squeal and lights seem to stay bright. I dont think the belts have ever been replaced on the car though.

If the belts have never been replaced, you should definitely replace them now, along with checking the tensioners to see if they're cracked.

belts never replaced with 206k miles.
I think it's time you change them just in case they break.
