Here is what's going on. I am suspecting that need a couple of new door switches. The driver's door, when opened does not turn on the dome light or the door lights. If I leave my headlights or parking lights on, there is no beeping if I open the driver's door. Sometimes the rear driver's side door does the same thing, but not all of the time. I use to have a job that required very frequent driving, getting out of the car, getting back in, and so on. There was a lot of opening/closing of the driver's door.

I would like the interior lights to come on when they are supposed to by opening the driver's door and rear driver's side door. So my question is, how difficult is it to change out a front and rear door switch? I looked at the front one and it appears there is only a phillips screw holding it in. Thanks

PS-I am almost 100% sure that the culprit is the door switch, because when I open the other doors, all the interior lights illuminate.

 

Remove the switch and clean the contacts.
