All right...cool
I was coming home from the 76rs game last night and hit a pot hole on I-95 doing 75mph. It put a small bubble on the sidewall which I discovered when I got home. Alignment seems fine and the rim isn't bent. So I'll be buying new tires today.

I-95 huh? Where you at? I'm in MD. Anyway, you can fit 225 50 16s on the stock wheels with no problem. Most the tire manufacturers 6.5" rim is the minimum required to mount them, so thats what I did and it works great.

225/5/16's are fine
I'm running SP8000's on mine. Look awesome (as long as the car's lowered), ride fine and stick like mad. Incomprehensibly better tire than the RSA. Take those things off and throw them as far as you can. On second thought, put them in your trunk, drive way out into the country and dump 'em there. That's how bad they suck.

The problem with the RE71's is that it's an ultra high performance tire...just about useless in the wet and forget the snow. If you have to deal with the rain and snow get the SP5000s. Ten times better in the wet and almost as good in the dry.
I went to 225/50/16 on my 99SE. Toyo FZ4. Love them. Had RSA's and they sucked. speedo used to be right on , but now gps says I am actually going 58 when my speedo says 60. May save me 2 mph on a ticket someday.
