Group deal wanted on 5th gen AGX - Cattman?

Can we get a group deal going on AGX struts for 5th gens. Cattman or any other shop that can modify them and give us a group deal. Looking at the other group deal for the 4th gen there is a big demand and I'm sure we could get at least 10 orders.

Off topic:

I need these bad and everyone says Tokico's suck, but they are alot cheaper. I put Progress springs and my rear struts blew in 1 month. I couldn't believe it. Car is bouncy as hell.

Update

I emailed Cattman and got a response saying Mr. Catt is on vacation till Monday. He will get back to me then.

I can tell you we will need a better response that this. I know there is alot more people out there that need these struts.

Dont settle for tokico or GR-2

I think he still is having the special on the 5TH Gen KYB AGX struts for $425. Although I heard he was out of stock and was waiting on shipment of fabricated ones for 5TH Gen's to arrive. Although I'm still waiting on my front AGX struts from Cattman. They had sent me non-modified front struts. Hopefully they are in stock now. It's been two weeks.

425 is a lotta money for these shocks..if any of you live in New York..go to jeff in maximum tuning with the 4th gen agx shocks..and he modifies it and installs it for like $200 (i think thats with or without springs..pm him for more info)..

Well thats true what you said but say you buy the 4th gens for $330 (GD going now), add $200 for modification and installation then you got yourself a $530 total cost.

Does these modified AGX struts needs 4th gen springs? For example, I currently have the 5th gen Eibach Progressives on my 2000 SE, but if I want to use these modified 4th gen AGX on my 5th gen, do I need 4th gen Eibachs?

is anyone planning on doing the install themselves.
i've done springs and struts before, but seeing as these are modified, i feel weird doing it. let me ask this....
if i bought cattmans modified kyb's and then bought the 4th gen mounts that are needed, would all this make it a straight bolt on job. i don't need to fudge around with anymore pieces. this is the only reason i'm havin jeff do the job, but if cattmans modified ones plus the mounts is all i need for it to line up perfectly, then i can do this myself like any other setup.
let me know, cause then i'd like to jump in on this deal. i'm already having 4th gen kyb's from the other group deal shipped to me, but i'll sell them in a heartbeat to get these and then do the install myself.

ok...time to calculate....

4th gen kyb's - $338 shipped
jeff install - $200 including modding it
total - 538

or

cattman modified - $425+shipping or if this GD goes through - cheaper
do it myself - free
total - cheaper than above....

now you know why i want the modified ones.

Hey, guys. Attached below is an email I received from Brian Catts. Someone take the lead on this and contact him with a head count and price. I am currently in Afghanistan and unable to work this, but I definitely want in on the group deal.

"...I could do a group deal on the gen5 AGXs, but there could be some time lag built in. I have these modified in batches of 20 sets, though I'm not too far into a batch right now -- I could probably fill the first 15 orders and the rest would have to wait 2-3 weeks while more are made. Obviously you're not in a position to run one (in terms of collecting money), but the next time you're on the forum see if someone wants to follow up with me by email about running a gen5-only AGX group deal and have them send email.

Brian C Catts
Cattman Performance"

So let's do this. Just need one of you to contact him now. Thanks.

Shoot! now i am reading this. Does anyone know how much this is going to be? I need to konw before going on the GD for the GR-2 since modding and installing AGX on 5th gens would be too much. I want to be IN pending the price. Any thoughts fellas?
Tentatively IN.. yep, I am price sensitive..(thank he was out of stock when I almost order them for 425)

Re: Re: Rough List so far....

ok.....i've gotten a response from brian. so here we go....

RULE #1: ONE MONEY ORDER will be sent out for this whole deal along with a list of people and their respective addresses. so, if this goes through (which i see no reason for it not to), i would need everyone to send me a money order and in turn i will write one large money order to cattman. if anyone wants to question my loyalty to the .ORG as far as sending money to me, i've been a member since the .ORG started (day 1) and i've assisted in various group deals (the current angel eyes group deal and the previous hella supertones gropu deal) and along with that, you can ask soundmike and pearl96max who've personally dealt with me (just to name a few people)

RULE #2: so that everyone can be sure that they are not paying more than they're supposed to, everyone's shipping will be calculated individually. based on where you live, i will calculate shipping from the starting location to your home, using dimensions and weight of the agx's that brian is sending to me as soon as he can.

RULE #3: Prices...here we go....for the 5th gen modified agx, the lowest we will get is $400 and for the progress springs, it will be $145. this DOES NOT include shipping costs, as i said in RULE#2 that it will be individually calculated for each person.

with that being said, these are the rules. there are no changing these rules, as they are direct from brian. the list of people is staying as is. respond only if you want to drop from this deal or respond if you want to jump in and if so, copy the list and add your name to the list. we NEED 10 MINIMUM so we need 2 people still.

now, on a personal note, i'm in Queens, NY and i know that we have a few NYers here. i asked brian if it was okay to ship a few of them in 1 box, and hopefully that would bring down our shipping costs. i'm still waiting for his response but if this is the case, i was going to have those shipped to my house, and then i'd give you guys a call when they arrived and distribute accordingly. if any NYers that are in on this deal wouldn't mind doing this (we'll split shipping) then just keep that in mind and when we start setting things up, let me know that you want your shipment to come in with my box.

as a note, i just want everyone to be patient, as brian is in new zealand and so i get to communicate with him once, hopefully twice a day. i'm working as fast as i can to get this done ASAP. ok, let's do this....so far we have 8 people with NyMaxedOut unsure...after reading the rules, are you in?

Also, what would approx. shiiping be to ATL, 30305?

Thanks.

do we NEED them, no. we can shave off a bit off our strut mounts for them to fit. but if you'd rather just get 4th gen mounts (i plan on gettin mounts) then yeah, that would be much easier. i totally forgot that and asked him for pricing on that and how much weight to add for the shipping cost. remember, this is all based on dimensions and weight of box, so that everyone gets an exact shipping quote.

i dont' have any costs as of now because i do not know either dimensions, weight, or the starting shipping location. when that comes in, i will let all know.

I bet if we get the deal to include the strut mounts and dustboots, we may get a better discount than $25. All this is needed right? Polo, you've got mail.

ok, before things get too deep, i'm gonna have to jump outta this....with brian in new zealand, it's gonna be pretty hard to get prices for various deals (springs, springs and struts, springs and struts and boots, etc....) bad timing i guess....if he were here it'd be easier cause then i'd at least call him up. but with the 1 email a day (or 1 email every TWO DAYS) it's pretty much stressing me out too much and work is taking too much out of me. if anyone would like to take over, feel free, i'll pass on all the info. i'm prolly gonna order my set straight through him tomorow or very soon. sorry guys, wish i could help.

Polo,
We all saw what you went through with the last group deal, so no hard feelings. If anyone keeps up with this or takes over, try to get a better deal than just $25 off. I'll be monitoring and will jump on the deal if it's there.
