Thank you all...
1 - remove brake reservoir cap
2 - loosen wheel lug nuts but not remove
3 - jack up car & secure it on jack stands
4 - remove lugs & wheel(s)
5 - (this may vary from model year) - remove the caliper bolt. on the earlier models, only the front bolt has to be removed to allow for pad replacement.
6 - with bolt(s) out, swing the caliper out and zip tie it so that it's not in the way.
7 - pull out the pads and shim, remember how the shims are positioned
8 - remove pad retainer
9 - pull out main pins and lubricate with PBC grease.
10 - put in new pads. (some instructions will tell you to put the pad indicator on the inside of the wheel. I put them on the outside so that they are more visible *if* you have wheels that allow you to see the pad through the openings, like 5 spoke wheels)

once the pads are in, installation is in reverse order of removal. just remember to break them in and take it easy for the first few hundred miles. everyone has a different technique for break in. I do 5+ 40-5 mph stops then let it cool for an hour or more before driving again.

Thank you..some more Q's

Phuong,
thanks for the instructions
I am wondering why you have the brake fluid resevoir cap off....is that something to do with compressing the piston?....I dread spilling brake fluid in my engine bay..I think it is hazardous to paint..and things?
I bought the piston compressor....
anyhow, thank you.

You take the brake reservoir cap off b/c when you press the calipers aprt (press in the piston) it will require less pressure than if the cap were on. I noticed on my friends max that the brake fluid got low right about when his pads were gone. We added some brake fluid (just a couple ounces). When the new pads were installed, we had to widen the calipers to make them fit and in turn there was less fluid needed in the line -so we had to remove the 2 ounces were put in a month earlier. Its a pretty straight forward procedure. You do the same with the rears aut need to detach the ebrake cable and reinstall when done...

Did anyone turn their rotors, and Phuong, what brake pads were you offering? Thanks.
