hi. dont be thrown off by my name. the stang is my weekend car/drag car. ok. i'm doin some street racing and i'm trying to ditch some weight. how do i remove the rear bench seat? i took out the lower part but i dont know how to take out the top. any help would be great. thx.

 

If you've got a 99 max(listed in your sig), you may want to try the 4th gen forum. 5th gen is 2k+. If you've got a 5th gen then I guess you can just ignore me

 

It's really not going to help much... the seat is just a cushion, it weighs like 5-15 pounds.

 

On my 96 - there are two pull out levers under the seat. You pull them towards the front seat and then just lift the seat right out. Easy as pie. Learned that when putting in cd changer a couple of weeks ago!!
