Stock clutch rating?

Anyone know the stock clutch rating? How much power will it hold?

The stock clutch is a Exedy unit and I'm unaware of it's rating. Seeing that it's relatively heavy feeling, I'm guessing it's decently stout. Clutches are rated in torque and I'd estimate it could probably hold 220-230fwtq reliably. My car has the stock clutch (94K miles), lots of 1/4 mile passes, and is holding 185-193fwtq without any protest. The clutch is a little softer, but it never slips. If you do a lot of aggressive launching, heavy clutch slipping, and hard shifts, your clutch will die quickly regardless of what you have.

If you're staying NA, I'd go with the OEM clutch.

If you're getting boosted then I'd get the ACT and shift SOFTLY.

Thank you Dave....disregard my PM to you then I'm juiced as well so I probably should go with the ACT as far as durability.

Not that great of a price difference to pay for something that will last.

Thanks Dave!
