OK so could someone recommend a tire or do a search for me?

I have been looking at Kumho 711's H speed rated....good treadwear rating with H speed rating and 712's W speed rated, wear Sux with this speed rating, TireRack dosen't have the V speed rated in a warehouse near me so shipping is HIGH, and I don't want to wait for them to get them in...... and the tires below....
Hankook Ventus HRII H405
High performance value.
Meets or exceeds original equipment speed rating
215/55R-16 93H VSB
UTQG: 340AA
I just want a tire that performs reasonably well, that will last more than 20K miles. I'd like to keep the costs down if possible, but don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish. Oh all the tires above are stock 215/55/16 size I know the 225/50/16's will fit, but it will have a shorter sidewall and I am on stock springs and don't want an empty wheel well.
Thanks in advance

Look at the Dunlop Sport A2's. Excellent tire, there very quiet, wet traction is excellent and I've impressed a few guys with their performance on dry as well. They hold the road really good. I go from Dunlop SP8000 17" Z rated tires to the Sport A2's for winter. Aside form the night and day difference in the ride and noise levels, the A2's maintain excellent handling, only 10X smoother.

The Dunlop SP5000 is also an excellent tire. The side wall is slightly firmer then the A2's. You can't go wrong with either one.

...like he said...

I've had A2's for about a year now (approx. 15k miles on them )and you can barely see any wear on them - they don't look a whole lot different than they did when new.

They're pretty decent in the snow, too.

Dunlop A2's are GREAT tires. Dunlop's quality has always been above par.

However, I am running the Nitto NT450's (215/60/16) and I think they are fantastic. I also have about 10,000miles on my tires and you would barely be able to tell. They are also $75 ea. shipped from tires.com - can't beat the price for the performance and wet handling in my opinion.

I have had good success with the Kumho 712's. Check out tirerack.com for reviews of almost every tire.

OK,
I bought the Kumho 711's from a local guy cause he was only 14 more dollars than if I had bought from TireRack and paid shipping and then had them mounted, balanced and valve stems, etc.etc.etc.... all toghter it was 351.00 not bad for 4 225/50/16's out the door! I just hope that they hold up well. I have heard some things about the wearing out prematurely. They sure do ride better than my old miss matched tires (Potenza RE90's on the front...... and Summit's on the back.) They were 205/65/15's. These corner MUCH better, way flatter in the turns, lateral G's is all I feel, no body roll.
Thanks for all the help, in several posts I put on the org.
I'm a happy camper.......well except I have to take it back tomorrow.....slung a wheel weight off already!! he's using the old hammer on style instead of the kind with double sided tape. I saw where he took some of those off the wheel and those were gonna stay on forever, he still didn't get all the adhesive off. I'm going to tell him to use that kind when I go back...I just can't believe how much better the car drives!!!
I got some other problems that if I don't figure out soon I'll be posting about, but right now I'm so happy with the tires, I'm so worried about the other **** right now
Thanks Again
