Y-Pipe Flexible Coupling Wrapping to Quiet the Buzz & Hiss

Has anyone wrapped their y-pipe flexible coupling with manifold heat wrap to reduce the buzzing and hissing?

I am ready to buy a y-pipe but concerned about Budget's version and some comments I've read about it buzzing and hissing. Warpspeed's version has a nice flexible coupling, but it's more expensive and I'm not sure I agree with their competition bashing attitude. The Stillen unit is expensive, but well built. I'm not sure if the Stillen unit has any "buzzing or hissing" problems though.

It'd be great if anyone can direct me to a previous thread that would answer this question.

Thanks for helping me make a knowledgeable decision.

I just got the Budget y-pipe, the "hissing" at WOT is quite loud.....but I did read somewhere on the ORG that wraping the whole y-pipe all the way down to the cat reduces that a great deal...

see if this link would help, I just don't have time to read through the whole thing again

Thanks for that link. That's great.

In general, how do you like the Budget y-pipe. Is it louder on the freeway or only when you are WOT?

Thanks,
Jeff
