Putting on my Cattman Y-pipe help!

OK, I've got the old pipe off and I'm trying to get the new pipe in. Where the rear O2 sensor goes in is a metal piece, not sure what its used for but it is in the way of where the O2 sensor screws in. Do I need to cut this or move it or bend it? I don't remember reading anything about before and I can't search on it so I need some help please!

I have a 98 Maxima. It looks like the placement of the O2 sensor is different on the new y than on the stock one, is that right?

Thanks

I had to bend the sheet metal so that the rear sensor doesnt hit it.

Thanks for the reply! I went ahead and cut the corner off so I could get the sensor on. I have the pipe on but now a have a whistle somewhere, it sounds like a vacum leak almost but I didn't disconnect anything else so I can't imagine what it is.
