I have a few places that have minor rust, what actions do i take? CAn i just wash it maybe sand it a lil then put touch up paint on it. Any comment will help at this point. thanks

 

yup.. use some hot glue or something to stick a tiny pad of sandpaper on a pencil eraser.. then go to town on the rust spots. sand it down so there's no rust, then apply the touch up paint.
if it bubbles over the top of the factory paint, use some 2000 grit sandpaper to knock it back smooth after it dries, then buff and wax that area again..


It's long and tedious, but this is why you never see nice street rods with paint chips!
