Engine dying when cold... what should idle be?

What should idle be for our generation? Mine is like 600rpm right now during drive, I think it's a bit low? Anyways, both Friday and this morning, my car keeps dying when the engine is cold. The car is garaged too. Mind you, I always just start it up and drive off with no problems in the past. It'll start fine, but when I shift into reverse or drive, my engine will choke up and die. Really bad when your car is halfway in the road!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Seems fine when I drive during lunch or when I go home, though.

the idle on my auto according to the consult2 was 700. i doubt there is an idle difference between the generations but i could be wrong. have you tried cleaning out the throttle body? thats your least expensive and most likely fix if that has not been before or in a long time.

throttle body was cleaned about two months ago. wasn't really that dirty, and seemed fine yesterday when I took it apart.

perhaps check for loose or leaking vacuum lines.
