Brake pads
Brake pads
With the purchase of my wheels, i am beginning to see how i get what i pay for with brake pads. I have a cheap set of carbon-metallics on there and they dust my wheels so bad. I have been thinking about some ebc pads, and i am upgrading my rotors and brake lines in the near future as well. my front rotors are rippled horribly. Which kinda pad do i need? Any other recommendations for performance, low dust pads? Is there anything i can do to minimize the dust sticking to my wheels?
Thanks in advance.

high performance metallic ones. i use rotex.. dust is tolerable but could be less.
brake lightly.
put on a set of old wheels after a pad change. wait till they initial dust off period passes
clean the wheels often. buildup is hard to clean..
i am out of ideas

like i said, the pads are like 6 months or better old. They have been bad dusting my wheels since i got them. The reason that it is brought more so to my attention was the addititon of my wheels. they are a lot harder to clean than my factory alloys.

I switched from OEM to Raybestos Quiet Stop Pads. Very quiet, 2/3 less dust and stop better. I wax my wheels with Meguiars Gold Class Wax, it makes wheels easier to clean. I can almost rinse all the dust off with hose since the QS pads create so much less. Best price on Raybestos QS Pads is at WWW.ROCKAUTO.COM about 25% cheaper than pep boys!
