I am working on my project 1985 Max and my automatic transmission is gone, I plan to replace it with a manual transmission. Is this possible? I know it will require lot's of work but that's my plan. Please advise.

Yes it is. If you do the conversion, plan on buying a parts car with the transmission. That way you have all the parts you need to do the conversion with. It shouldn't be too difficult. If you have question let us know, we'll see if we can answer them.
