Try 25psi then if you are still having problems slowly dicrease it. It seems for me it all depends on the day and the track surface. Some times I don't change my pressure at all, and some days I have to run 25 or below???

Pump the rears as high as you dare, I run mine at 55 psi

Also it deppends on the tire. I got BFGoodrich and maximum PSI is 44 but I keep it at 32 at all times.

When the speed limit is 60 do you only do 60? It doesn't depend on the tire it depends on how high you dare put it, same as the speed limit.

I usually run my fronts about 25 also. If I still loose alot of traction I let it out to 20. Then, by the end of the night before I leave I check the tire pressure and it's usually close to 15. I pump my rears up to 45. 55 is kinda high for me.

if you put it too high would it just pop off the rim or would you need to buy a new tire?

You won't do it any damage. I had to pump my slicks up to over 100 psi to get them to seat and they only weigh 11 lbs and are super thin so I don't think you could possibly hurt a regular tire unless you ran for an extensive distance at like 100+.

They won't come off the rim, if anything they will blow. I have already had that happen a couple of times a few years ago when I couldn't afford new tires.

so now you are saying that they have blown on you before when you pumped them up too high??
and when they blow they dont come off the rim? i thought that would be a definite effect of a tire blowing at 100mph...

NO I am not saying they have blown on me when I pumped them too high.

I am saying I have had old tires blow at high speeds when I was a teenager because I couldn't afford new tires. The were at normal pressures.
