New Maxima, now what happens to the I35?

Now that we have a new Maxima on our hands, I was wondering what will happen to the Infiniti twin, since I havn't heard any news about it. Are they going to discontinue the I?

Well at first I was wondering why u thought that, and then it finally crossed my mind. Maybe they will discontinue it in 04 but who knows. I personally dont like the way the 04 max looks but maybe they will just redo the grills and interior as always and badge it I35 we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah im not too fond on the new Max's grill, but still its a nice car. At first I hated the 2002 grill, but it grew on me, so who knows.

Put out of it's misery before it had to become hideous like the new Max.

The G35 replaces the I35 pretty much. A guy at Infiniti Corp told me that Infiniti will only be building RWD cars from now on, and despite the trucks and 350Z Nissan will be FWD for the time being. Infiniti wants to seperate itself from Acura (lower end luxury/sport cars (other then NSX)) and go after the bigger guys, BMW, Benz, Lexus, etc.
