Any reason you are asking in the 3rd gen forum if you have a 97?

For my '91 SE, I have installed:

Tokico Struts
Eibach Springs
Courtesy FSTB
Suspension Techniques front and rear anti-sway bars
Yokohoma AVS-ES100 225/50VR-15

braided steel brake lines
Brembo rotors
PFC pads in the front
Metal Masters in the rear

I have a set of 16x7.5 300zx rims in storage that are waiting on tires.

thanx for the replys fellas...

Im guessing the sprints and intrax have a lower drop then the eibachs? Just wondering why some of you dont like the tokico's and some do.

Does koni offer all 4? (I know on the 4th gens they only offer 'inserts' on the front)

any other setups/feedback?

Intrax/Kyb, probably the best deal for the $$$ I paid $100 for my Intrax and I love the drop, best springs on the market IMO.

Sprint with KYB

Recently got 225/50/16 tires, rides much better

And I finally got an alignment after driving dropped since the summer, makes a big difference

Eibach = 1.2" drop.
Intrax = 1.75" drop.

Eibach, Tokico, ST anti-sways here. I've always liked it. Want to do something more extreme on my 2K3 though.

suspension

I have a 92'
-KYB REDS (adjustable) shocks and struts
-Stillen front strut bar
-Stillen front and rear anti-sway bars
-Eibach pro-kit (1.2 drop all around)
-Riding on 18' Volk GT-7

Other modifications
-Stillen computer up-grade
-Reverse indiglo gauges
-RAZO shifter
-Random cat-converter
-Hayame cat-back custom exhaust
-Place racing Cold air intake
-Power stop rotors
-Hawk brake pads
-Steel braided brake lines
-MSD ignition system

Sounds
-Clarion mini disc deck
-Clarion 5.1 space EQ
-Clarion vs715 (stand alond dvd player)
-Clarion two 6.5 monitor in head rests
-Boston Pro's separates in the front doors
-MB Quarts separates in the rear panel
-Two 12 W6 in custom enclosed box.
-Sound Stream 700 Ref AMP
-Pheonix Gold 450 ZX AMP

Future plans (waiting for items to reach Hawaii)
-HID Lighting system
-Greddy cat-back exhaust
-Volk Racing lugs

The ride is firm yet comfortable. The beauty of the KYB reds is that I can adjust the firmness on the type of driving that I will be doing. The Eibach is nice because it surports the vehicle and still manages to offer good ground clearance. But I am currently looking to drop my car a total of 2 inches all around. Interested in buying my old springs?
Anyways....what ever that you do decide on make sure that it is a good brand name. Don't cheap out because in the long run you will end up spending a lot more. I am speaking from experience. If you are gonna do it save the money and do it right the first time.
What ever you decide it will definately better than stock!!! Happy hunting and enjoy fixing your "new" toy.

i miss my eibachs...but i LOVE the drop of the intrax...

eibach/tokico is the best combo out there for the money. once i put the intrax on the tok's the quality went to crap so i'm looking to get konis

Konis

KONI's are good if you have the funds. They are not exactly what you would call cheap. My personal opinion is that it is more of a "name brand thing". Not that Tokiko and KYBs are bad or anything. If I am not mistaken the Tokiko "white" and KYB "reds" (adjustable firmness) are still cheaper than the Konis. Are Konis better than Tokiko and KYB is highly debatable. If I read correctly in a magazine I believe that either Tokiko or KYB are made by the same company as Konis.
What ever you do decide to purchase make sure that the suspension is the kind of ride that "you want". May companies offer great products but it may not be what you are looking for. Happy hunting!!
