Shortly after I got my car back from being checked out when I thought I had another injector failure this off-white colored wiring harness fell out from underneath the dash by my left foot. It's a bundle of black taped wires. The connector is about 1/2" x 1 1/2". It has several ports in it that almost look like a series of phone jacks, but some are smaller than that. There is a clear plastic boot over it. Big thing, but everything on the car works, so how important can it be right?
Please tell me that's all it is!

 

sounds like it to me...got the same thing in my car too and I've seen them hook Consult to it before!

 

That's what it was in the shop for them to do, so it sounds right. Can't believe I never saw this thing before.

don't worry about it, when mine first fell out from underneath the dash it freaked me out too...I was like "uh oh that can't be good, WTF is gonna BLOW UP now??"
