I noticed that the lugnut cap does not really match the shined rims. Did I get the wrong one? Is there a different cap for the AE rims or did nissan just use the same ones as the regular rims??

Sadly So.. thats the way it is..

It's probably because the rims and of a metal and the cap is plastic..

That is the way they are supposed to be.

I would figure what happened is that they could not match the colour of the new 'shinny' AE 6 spoke mags and it would look weird having the shinny mag with the 2000 cap. The 2000 cap is partially mag coloured and the center (what looks like a center-lock lug nut) is the beige/sand colour.

on purpose

I thought it was supposed to be a different color to offset the spokes from the hub.
If they had want'ed to they could have colored the cap the same as the rims. They make metalized plastic for just such a purpose.

I think they look fine. At least they look different then other rims on other cars.
