O2 fuse blows engine dies
O2 fuse blows engine dies at 35 mph. Suggestions?
Hi,
I was driving down the road, the shift linkage (5 speed stick) was hanging up a little, having a bit of trouble getting into 2nd. a minute or 2 later the engine stopped. no ignition. The fuse to the O2 sensor and some lights blew. We have replaced that fuse but it blows again after a short drive, at about 35 miles per hour, or on turns. The car has been down for 4 days can't find the problem. The computer checks out ok. Cleaned some corrosion off the O2 sensor contact. I wonder if the clutch switch or the back up light circuit shorted out when trying to work the manual trany. Are either of those on the same circuit as the O2 sensor? The engine computer checks out ok.
Any short circuit suggestions???

Turns out the Back up light switch looks like it was causeing the shorts. Disconnecting it to see if that works.
