? about my rims

I'm looking into getting 19" Motegi Racing FF5 rims, with Pirelli P7000 tires...

Will 19's fit fine on my 94 without adjustment?

The reason I am not getting the 18"s is for the simple reason I am looking to totally fill the wheel well...I dont want to have to lower my car, I live in a crappy state for potholes and what not...

thanks for help in advance

You would have to get a pretty large tire to fill in the wheel well without lowering even with 19s.

most of the time people get the same size outside diamater tire as stock to keep the speedometer right...to do that on a larger wheel you need a thinner tire...if you did that you would obviously have the same gap as factory so you would have to go with taller tires and I mean a lot taller and then your speedometer would be way off besides looking funny...truck tires on a Max.

Of course I am no expert on wheels but thats my thoughts anyway.

I have 18's on my max and they barely fit. I had to get spacers in the rear b/c they would rub otherwise. AND if you have people in the back and go over a speed bumb or crappy street then you are asking for trouble. Luckily I don't usually ride with people in the back seat, but when I do I'm paranoid. The bigger the better!

lol...

potholes + 19's just aren't going to work...

i'd stick w/ a smaller rim and bite the bullet and lower the ride

you get 19's, most likely you're gonna have thin tires and when you hit the potholes, you got a good chance of bendin the rim anyways...like some say, go smaller and just lower the ride..just my $0.02!!

the drop isnt gonna affect the ride as much as the size of your tire will. i had 18"s with a drop on my old max. im still gonna drop but im putting at the most 17"s to ease up the ride. i live in chicago where potholes are everywhere. i might even stay at 16"s. go with a drop wth a smaller rim. i think that will be the best bet to fill your wheel well and keep the ride bearable. i cant imagine riding on 19"s in the chi. you gotta get small tires and you are gonna feel everything in the road. and like others have said, you probably will bend the rim. check out my homepage. page #2 and my sig have pics of my old max lowered with 18"s. good luck man. let us know what you decide to do.

if your going to get 19s most likely your going to have 235/35's so the circumference of the tire will be the same as stock, so in other words its not going to fill out the wheel well anymore, and if you did get a larger tire to fill it out most likely you will rub the **** out of them

yup, the gap will still be pretty much the same. 5x114.3 and dont look for anyhting wider than 8.5, which you still may have some trouble with

don't forget offset to. I think around 42 is the highest you'll want to go and still may need spacers for the back wheels

yeah offset is very important but that coinsides with wheel width, im running 7 inch wide wheels with 42 offset and im fine, ill be putting on spacers sometime though just to push the wheels out a little more so they stick out right to the fender like M3s

yeah sorry forgot about the width, I'm running 7.5 wide with a 42mm offset and I put spacers on the back and it cause it was really close but not touching and they're pretty close to the fender and with the sprint springs they tuck a little bit
