I think I shavedthe bracket wrong for the 3.125 pulley

I was reading the sticky at the top of the boosted forums and jay25 posted where to shave the bracket. I shaved the top peg that he has circled and then the peg below that one. On Jay' post it says to shave the top one and then he circled something towards the bottom of the plate, does this need to be shaved as well? and what part is it exactly? The car is running fine now, and I cant hear the belt rub. I just don't want to go through the headache of a third shredded belt. Thanks for any help

I have this picture and it is a top view of the shaved bracket. hope this will be a good reference for you...and btw, my belt is rubbing against the bracket a little for the 2.87 pulley. Kevin didnt shave any futher because he didnt want to damage the integrity of the bracket.

Ok, when I 1st installed my blower I replaced the stock pulley with the 3.33". At that time I shaved down the 2 pegs to where it is almost cutting into the holes. I may have overdone it, but it truly gives a peace of mind when I see how much space I give the belt. I edited the pic in the above link on where and how much I shaved my pegs down. V2 Bracket

Thanks guys, I did shave the right spots then. Just wanted to make sure so everything didn't have to come apart again.

That bottom portion of the plate needs to be shaved down some, in my case the belt left lots of residue and a imprint showing that the belt was touching. If I ever remove the blower again that peg is just getting cut off period.

I plan on cutting that peg off as well if the s/c comes out again. With the 3.125 the belt is only about a few centimeters away from rubbing that peg, and it was shaved down as far as we could get it without chopping it off.
