Those who autocross the Maxima

I'm planning on autocrossing my auto 2000 Maxima. I have a 17x7 and planning on putting a wider tires, such as the Falken Azenis to cover the weight of the car. I already autocrossed the car stock twice already and the rear will not rotate.

So my question is, which stiff rear swaybar would you guys prefer? I don't know where this thread suppose to go to, either the Modification forum or Autocrossing forum.

Search doesn't work yet, sorry if this has been killed a few times. I'm new in the Nissan business. Mostly my wife are the one who drives it.

Re: Those who autocross the Maxima

Well I think that all the sways out right now are all about the same as far as stiffness is concerned. The steallin is supposidly more adjustable... but you are paying easily 2x the price...
My personal setup is the Addco bar...works wonders in the corners...Don't get very a$$ happy unless I setup my AGX's super stiff in the back and loose in front. There is a guy that disconnected his front swaybar and got some really good results getting the steering more neutral...I think the thread is in the "Autocrossing" forum..

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Regime, where did you get the addco bar at?

Also, isn't the y-pipe makes your car louder?

Stick with 225 width, I'm pretty sure anything wider bumps you out of STS.

I bought it from Cattman.com... But I would get the Progress Bar now...basicly the some bar except that Progress and Cattman worked out some small issuses with the brackets.

Yes the Y-pipe made a big differance in the sound of the exhaust. (A very "beefy" sound with a small rattle on takeoff from the increased flow opening the metal flap in the stock muffler earlier in the RPM range)
But removing the resonator actually made a much bigger differance as far as sound goes. I get complimented all the time at the track, by other drivers on the sound..Personal preferance I suppose. If you want to have alot more power but not alot of sound just leave that massive resonator in there.

Hmm, I would like to learn more what I could do to the Maxima. More power for the Maxima sounds good, but louder Maxima would probably get a beating from the wife. lol. Thanks for the info Regime.
