I was talking to my mechanic today and he was telling me that it’s a pretty big job to install struts and shocks. I was going to have him install the struts and I was going to install the shocks, I have kyb gr-2. I have a Hayes manual but it doesn't go into much detail so I was wondering if anyone has a write up on installing shocks? Thanks

Thats a great write up. With the right tools (and a lift) it takes about 1-1/2 hours do do the whole car.

i am going to change my brothers front and rears on his 95 max gle.

any advice on where to get the cheapest struts/shocks??

Everyone I have talked to has said there is a chance that the springs could fly off the spring compressor and possibly kill me. I don't really think that there is too much chance of this really happening, but has anyone had the springs fly off?
