Intake: FrankenCar and cone? Also What UDP for a VE Auto?

Its time to collect more mods for my '92SE. It will be out of storage in a week or so, I need to have stuff ready.

I've seen references to using the Franken car mid-pipe on the VE, but what cone are most people coupling it with?

Also who provides a UDP for my car? It seems that I can only find VG versions. Is it smaller or somewhow simply lighter? If smaller I doesnt the Alternator have to work harder to provide power? Is this a problem when driving a couple of amps for the stereo?

Thanks!

ASP makes a UDP for the VE's....I'm hopefully going to be ordering one soon....

ASP Racing

If I'm correct, its a lighter unit, gives an small increase in HP....just check out the website.

www.rpmoutlet.com has the ASP UDP for $100 shipped. A very good mod for its price.

I have the frankencar in my car. The fit was good the only thing is that you need to plug the little hose thing coming out. Here is a pic of the frankencar on my car, the yellow plug is what I am talking about

Since I've had it, no problems at all. It's a good mod overall.

The ASP UDP is just for the VE, you have to buy an unorthodox pulley for the VG that go for like $189.00 not including belts yet.

The belt size that ASP provides are not the best ones to get, one of the belts they list is wrong, you should e-mail or PM Aaron92se and he'll tell you exactly what belts you need, thats what I did.

I have an extra JWT cone intake for sale. Very nice unit, better than the generic stuff. $50 shipped.

You can also just buy the "mid pipe" from WSP.

Check out this other post above it has some links that will tell you all you need to know about intakes. Also you might want to check the GD forum, I know a while back someone was running a GD on UDP pulleys.
