Hey there, the search isnt working, so dont flame me if this is repetative, but I've been thinking about supercharging my 2k auto.

What else would i need to beef up (i.e. tranny, etc), and how exactly would I need to do that?

What are the prices for some decent superchargers?

How much power can I expect to gain?

How will my gas milage react(I know you have to pay to play), but jsut curious about this one.

Yeah search is down for a little while.

A valve body upgrade along with a tranny cooler should hold the tranny together for a little while but a full built tranny of a 5spd conversion will last longer.

If you want a new SC, be prepaired to be $3700+ for it. Plus the cost of a new pulley if you want some more boost.

Power should be up atleast 80+ whp with the auto, more with the 5spd due to less loss of power. Smaller pulleys and and intercooler will increase power output quite a bit.

Gas mileage should suffer no more then 1mpg under normal driving conditions, but once you get on it the motor will obviously be more thirsty.

 

1. Beefing up tranny would be like a VB Mod and tranny cooler, or even a built tranny. Honestly, if you do not know what any of those things are, don't do the supercharger mod yet.
2. Only Stillen makes a supercharger for us, cost is around $3400, not including all the tuning and other goodies you'll need afterwards
3. Power gain will depend on how much you boost obviously (40-100 hp)
4. Gas mileage will obviously suffer
