I need a 4th Gen Transmission

I need a 4th Gen Transmission

my 95 Maxima's transmission gave out on me.... No reverse and all the gears are slipping... Will all 4th Generation Maxima Transmissions fit in or do i need a 95-96 Tranny?

I live in Clifton NJ send me a post or reply if you have one in tact.. that is still in EXCELLENT CONDITION!

Man, I'm surprised with these nissan transmissions. Alot of people are getting trannys that are failing.

i see that you are or were auto, might i advise taking advantage and looking for a 5speed manual. if you dont want manual then nevermind, but since you have to go in and replace the tranny anyways, i say you mine as well

I hope mine breaks down soon and i'm gonna do the auto to 5-speed swap.

hey bro, i'm in Maplewood, NJ, not too far from you. I have an auto tranny with 110,000 miles sitting in my garage, in good condition. Straight out of my 95 nissan maxima GLE. I took it out cause i did a conversion to 5 speed. This would be a great opportunity to do a 5 speed conversion but if u want to stick with auto, i can give you mine for 200 pick up. I didnt have any problems with it and it has been sitting in my garage since late summer. I have the torque converter and everything for it. Let me know if your interested.

you should contact Jeff, i know hes putting a 6 speed in his car and he will probably be selling the 5 speed tranny then, his name on here is maximus75 or you can call his shop at 516 676 8470
