One more question for turbo people....

did you make a new manifold or did you just make a pipe from the existing manifold to the turbo exhaust feed? I was thinking about making a whole new front manifold as opposed to using a pipe from the existing manifold. If i use a pipe from the existing one the exhaust has to do a 180, which i was thinking would decrease flow a bit. Another thing i thought of too is that with a small diameter pipe going to the turbo the velocity would have to increase to accomodate the bend and the pressure would drop. The pressure on the exhaust outlet side of the impeller would go up, since work done by the turbine would also seem to increase entropy and decrease velocity, but since the pipe would be larger on the outlet, pressure would increase, and velocity would go down even further... hmm... This would actually make the work done by the impeller go up even further, and would that not actually increase the effectiveness of the turbo?
