They're heavy. With tires, you're looking at 50-55lbs depending on tires, tread amount.
A Kansas City Maxima club member added a set of SE 17s to his 4th gen and he is .4 and 3mph slower on average. The Potenzas spin horribly and the heavy weight of the rim is hard to control once it's spinning along with the extra mass that's sucks out ET/MPH.
I must admit that the SE 17s do look damn nice though. They look like 18s on the 4th gen. If I were to own these rims, I'd get those super light Toyo tires Nealoc was running on his 17" K1s. The lighter weight tires and much stickier tread wouldn't make the setup near as bad.
