That's great, but I was hoping someone had their filter changed at the dealer and knew the labor price as well.

Well, considering that the parts are $45 from your normal dealer (not discounted like Courtesy Nissan) and the labor taking 15 minutes (at $60/hr), I'd be likely to say $59.95 plus tax. That's what my local dealer is charging. I just bought the parts from my dealer (using a 20% VIP customer discount - cheaper than having them shipped) and installed it myself. It takes about 20 minutes if you DON'T know what you are doing.
The instructions that come with it are pretty good. Basically, here's the procedure.
1) Remove the kick panel trim around the passenger's door.
2) Remove the passenger's kick panel (this will help upon reinstallation).
3) Remove the glove box (6 screws - 4 on top, 2 on bottom) but don't disconnect the airbag wires (yellow connectors). Just remove the entire airbag connector assembly from the glovebox by backing out the 2 little V tabs. Do NOT uplug the airbag connector for ANY reason, or else you're headed to the dealer to get the airbag light reset.
4) Disconnect the glovebox light (twist it).
5) Look for a white vertical door directly behind the glovebox.
6) Remove the metal tab at the bottom and lift the door upwards.
7) Remove the old filter.
8) Install the new filter.
9) Reinstall the door.
10) Reinstall the metal tab.
11) Reconnect the glovebox light.
12) Reconnect the airbag connector assembly to the glovebox by inserting the pegs into the holes (you'll see it when you get there).
13) Reinstall the glovebox.
14) Enjoy.

Courtesy's Price on the In-Cabin-Filter is higher than what I paid for it. It should be no more than $30 for the Maxima.

It would be helpful if you tell us where you got yours from.

Now who has the best relationship to Dave B.? Perhaps we can get a list to him with our orders and addresses. Will he be able to accept PayPal payments?

I was just at Nissan today. Filter install is $89.85, and the parts counter said the filter is $70.05. I laughed and left.

Is it possible that there are "carbon activated" filters and non carbon too? I'll pay the extra expense for the carbon if it'll stop those foul diesel or skunk odors from getting into my cabin.

Such a big discrepancy between $30 and $70, I'm starting to think that there is more than just one type of filter.

I think the $30 quote is what Nissan gets it for. Retail at Nissan is $70. I was quoted closer to $40.

Ok, how does $39.16/ea (plus shipping) sound? I will set this up as a group deal in that forum.
