When You Drive Your Car Do You Test It’s Abilities?
When You Drive Your Car Do You Test It’s Abilities?
Like driving it hard to test it’s
braking power,
acceleration,
top speed runs on open roads,
drag racing (legal or illegal),
cornering,
shifting real fast
or the handling
driving on roads w/sharp curves and turns,
slamming on the brakes or
from a dead stop slamming into the gas pedal screeching the tires,
drifting or
autocross?

with the Max handles ... I test MY abilities.
I dont test the brake or try to tear up my tires on turns. I just roll out on GA400, called locally the "Alpharetta Autobahn." I usually hit 120 a couple times a week. But only when its "safe", when there are too many soccer mom's in H2 or X5 taking up the entire highway.

I like a little high speed runs on 285 myself
I test the handling every chance I get.
I take the on-ramp turn-on curve faster than half the idiots drive on the highway.
For lunch I jam a sandwich down my throat and hit the local back roads sometimes.
Don't test high speeds much (over 100)

i never test its abilities around corners, not unless i want my car to receive a nose job
Top speed...yes, highest i took it so far (still pulling BTW) was 130ish...
braking....few times...then i realized i didnt have anti-lock brakes
eric

I used to test the handling all the time, but now with the added power of the SC, it's too easy to get myself in trouble. So I spend most of my time pimping
But some idiot always has to try and test my acceleration (usually in something with like 1/3 my car's hp), and I'm happy to oblige that.

Ah, a maxima is probably beyond what most of us here can do. Testing this theory on the street is a very good way to test your insurance company's customer service and/or your lawyer's ability in court.
well said Jeff...

Many times, but now I layed off it a little, since I'm leaking oil and the mpg is bad. Tested my sliding abilities in the winter into a sign lol. Then got pulled over for taking a turn too fast, I have crappy tires and suspension is all beaten out so the car leaned really bad and made some noise, but the cop was on a route so he let me go. That was the last of doing stupid stuff, don't wanna risk it and it's bad on the car.

Ah, you've been to Atlanta. I dont like 285 because too many semi-trucks. They have improved the roads though, no more potholes on the north side. I wont go down south by the airport, dont want to get jacked. But thankfully, I never have to travel on 285.

I usually get on from stone montain and head downtown.
