350Z with Skyline Swap: Kinda OT

I know this is kind of OT, but a friend's shop is doing this, and I just think it's so cool. Plus it does involve boost, lots of it.

Car is expected to put out over 600 hp at the wheels. And if all goes well, you'll see it in my booth at NOPI Nationals 2003. This hasn't been confirmed yet, but we think it's the first time this has been attempted.

Z1 Motorsports is the 1st to do this. They're in AL

The 350Z engine bay looks huge compared to the RB engine. I can't wait to see what kind of #'s the 350Z TT will be putting down when it gets out. Since I won't be affording one anytime soon, I'll hold off for about 5 years before getting one. Allow them to work all the bugs out.

I wonder if we're talking about the same car. I went to Z1's webpage, and saw they are in Temple, GA. Kind of wierd that they're founded by a GA Tech Grad, and so is Batlground, the shop that this 350Z is in. Any pics of the Z1 car? Didn't see it on their webpage.

Honesly, I have VERY limited access to the internet at work and don't have any internet at home at this time... Go to twinturbo.net and post on there real quick, or do a search for 350Z/RB26DETT and it SHOULD come up for you. It was no longer than a week ago they posted this. I know it was a silver 350Z but I know that's a common color.

I just did the search in TT.net, only car it pulled up was the one in my friend's car. Batlground. Z1 bought all the original parts, so that may be it.

"If you need any of the pull-off parts Z1 bought all of them"

So we were talking about the same car after all.

Z1 Motorsports is a shop in GA that specialized in Z's. From what I heard they bought the VQ engine out of the 350z. I don't think they had anything to do with the car.

but why?! Its an amazing swap to say the least, but I would think pushing the Vq35 would yeild much better results. Twin turbo the 3.5L and im sure we'd be near what the RB could put out. Not to mention its lighter weight. I'm probably wrong...but yeah...oh well. haha
