Yeah, and I get several attempts a day on my little junk site. I don't even want to see what a site this size goes through.

cattman.com hacked! Here for info

Hello all, cattman.com has been hacked as many of you may have seen. While it's getting all sorted out, Brian asked that I post the phone numbers so you can get service and place orders while the site is being fixed, the phone staff is still working fine.

Call:
800.759.9920
-or-
800.795.1513
to place the order.
(Open 8-5, MST, Monday - Friday)

International orders are welcome,
please call:
01.520.798.1513

Thanks for all your support, he'll have things back up and running very soon we hope.

tell him in the future to make copies of his default.htm, index.html and index.htm files. For that matter back up the whole website.

My Dad's website got hacked and they added a couple images and changed the index files. All i did was delete their files and replaced it with the files i had backed up. 5 mins later it was fine.

yup, they shoulda backed up. anyways, for anyone needing SPECIFIC cattman product info, go to google.com and search "cattman performance y pipe" or whatever product. The product pages still seem to be there, or it's cached.

how nice of them to leave contact info there too... so when the gov't decides that it's against the law, he'll be going to jail... (yeah, like that'll ever happen. we'll be paying $0.37 per email before they start doing anything about hackers)

The site is still there all that is changed is the front page, so you can find all the other pages if you do what you were saying.

The group that did the hacking looks like a Brasilian group, doubtfully a customer. I've seen stuff like this dozens of times, not much you can do, but not related to Brian personally I'd bet

But hey thats the best time to do it. If you get caught you can't be tried as an adult. That wouldn't stop be from beating one of them like a red-headed step child if I catch one.

A lot of these hackers from other countries usually get away with this stuff because sometimes in their country, they dont have laws about internet hacking. So unless they walk onto US soil, they can't really get arrested. I might not be 100% about this, but from what I heard, aslong as their country has no laws about Internet Hacking, theres nothing they can do.
