7000 mile service

i'm bringing my car in next week for an oil change and i was going to change to redline manual transmission fluid. the service manager was saying that they couldn't guarantee that transmission repairs would be covered under warranty if anything went wrong because i wouldn't be using the nissan fluid. any suggestions?

he also said that they recommend rotating the tires every 7500 miles. for $20 is it worth it, or should i hold off a bit?

one more thing, i'm also going to try and have the hesitation TSB performed. any suggestions for getting this done, too?

I don't think i had my tires rotated yet (I got 52K miles on my max)

Well you can't tell the difference between oils when there dark. I'd just have nissan put in the stock fluid and then i'd flush out the bad myself and put in redline. But that's pretty gay about the oil.

TSB?????

I was just about to post a similar thread. I recently asked my service manager about swapping to synthetic tranny oil. He told me that it's actually recommended by Nissan for AUTOMATIC transmissions, but not acceptable for manuals. Apparently, Nissan thinks synthetic is too slick and can cause problems (don't ask me how). I'm curious to hear from the 2K2/2K3 6 speed owners who have switched. Any problems??
