Heated Seat switch replace?

It seems my driver side heated switch light had burnt out... The pass one works fine, and I check the fuses and everything seems ok there... My **** tells me the seat still works (its been warm lately and nissan seats don't get hot)... Has anyone removed the centre console which seems is what I have to do to replace the switch or bulb (LED?) in the switch???

I had a similar problem that only the driver light was out and the seat still worked. I replaced the switch without removing the console. If you TAKE YOUR TIME, use a very thing screw driver and a rag, you CAN pry the switch out very easily. Did mine with no damage and it's a LOT faster than playing with the console.

There's no way in hell you will be able to replace the LED in the switch. Get a new one. If you are under warranty, they should cover it. If not, it's about $30 for a new switch. You can try prying it as suggested above; though I'd try going in from the E-brake slot and popping it out through there. There is a clip on top and bottom of each switch, push in on top of the switch by reaching in through the E-brake slot.

Or take the center console apart as such:
1. There is a screw behind the ash tray, AKA "cell phone holder." Open it and slide out the tray to access the screw.
2. Remove shift ****, unbutton boot.
3. Pull up from bottom of shift console and pull over shifter.
4. There are two screws that you just uncovered, remove.
5. Two screws on the sides of the center console, one on each side.
6. One more screw in the bottom of the center arm-rest compartment. Remove the cloth bottom to access it.
7. Pop out the clips on either side of the front of the center console, near the shifter.
8. Pull up.

Obviously, prying or popping it out is the easier way.

my driver's side burned out, too, and nissan said it's all one piece so you can't replace the bulb. They replaced it under warranty... took 20 minutes while I waited.

Wow! Thanx everyone! I think I'll just try poppin the switch out and replacing it.... $30 eh? damn... I tried finding one online at one of the nissan parts websites to no avail... Somehow I doubt I'm still warrantied for that kindof thing, I'm just under 100,000 kilometers (96,000 miles)... The seat still works for sure, it was cold last night It just bugs me the LED it burnt on it! doh!
