What are you supposed to do for your 60 K tune up?

 

read your owners manual

 

Change

Spark Plugs
PCV Valve
Gas Filter
Air Filter
Oil & Filter
Transmission Fluid
Radiator Coolant
Power Steering Fluid could use a refresh at this time too.


Inspect

Brakes
Belts
Hoses
Suspension Components
Tire Pressure
Wash - Wax Vacuume and Enjoy the Ride!

 

I'm due for the 60K service too. Here is what I'm going to do:

1. Clean Throttle body
2. Replace spark plugs
3. Replace air filter
4. Replace pcv valve
5. Flush transmission
6. Flush coolant
7. Replace fuel filter
8. Replace front brake pads (They need changing)
9. Flush brake lines
10. Replace power steering fluid

 

yup that's the list, if you're going to do it yourself i found that Tustin Nissan has good prices on plugs,pcv and filter, tell them you'ree a member of maxima.org and you'll get a discount too. shipping takes about a week.
i'm in the process of getting all the fluids, coolant ATF and Brake Fluid (going with ATE SuperBlue for higher boiling point). I replaced my fuel filter with 300zx unit, it's larger and it last longer.
