The mirrors are not heated. The hard part about the install is the wiring. Everything else should be a direct fit.
The headlights are clear. I now have pics on my site. The orange you see is a reflection from the bulbs that are included.

To help you out, it'd be easier if you just just the exisiting mirror (so you can keep the heated mirrors for those whom have them), and power mirror adjustment motor onthe folidng mirror casing. I know this may defeat the purpose of getting the whole folding mirror.

FYI, it was hard to get the suppliers of these folding mirrors to part for just the casing and folding mechanism and swtiches. Therefore, MaxMoJo may have to purchase the whole set. If you have question on how to use the exisiting mirror/motor and wiring to fit these mirrors.. feel free to email me

Sy,
Your yahoo account is not accepting any other emails, so I am trying to contact you here. I remember seeing your car at the Maryland meet at EIP about a year or two ago. Anyway, can you please tell me where you got the chrome mirror coverings? Thanks.

I've always wanted folding mirrors on my 2K2, but I'm not willing to lose the heated feature though!

i'm really interested in these folding mirrors for my 2k... mine aren't heated anyway, plus they're all beat up and rock-chipped, could use a paint job...

i'm always getting out and folding them in at parking garages, etc. this would be so tight!

bwah ha ha! never! although i might be willing to trade for that 6 speed transmission...

so SYCEFIRO, are you sayin our mirror glass will slide into these mirror assemblies? how much of them are the same - is it just the swivel part is motorized, or are they shaped or assembled differently somehow than 'USDM' 5th gen mirrors? i'm just wondering if i could use my already-painted top casing, and just replace the lower (black plastic) part that incorporates the motorized folding. or if i could buy regular heated mirrors for a 5th gen, and install them at the same time into these casings...

some pics of the 5th gen ones would be super MaxMoJo, if you can. i'm still really interested in this GD. thanx!

Yes, you can use the existing mirrors, power mirror motors, mirror covers along with the NEW FOLDING MIRROR MOTOR and switches! This applies to both 4th and 5th gen. If you have heated mirrors, you can still run it. If you are looking heated mirror you may wanna buy them and put them in at the same time or you can try something similar to what's available out there.. see link below

if we buy an HID kit would it come with all the other parts we need, harness and all? is that basically what we're missing, the HID kit?

Is it possible to put a 9004 HID kit onto the head lights?

How long will u have these selling? and any write up on how to install on maxima?

lcf - Thanks

mecca - If you get an HID kit, I suppose that will replace the need for a harness, as long as the HID kit is spliced into your existing harness. It is not possible to put a 9004 hid kit into the headlights. I do not have a write up available for these. I have not installed them on a Maxima and do not plan on it anytime soon.
This is a one time deal. I will not be carrying these items on my site.

I'm really interested in a set of the power folding mirrors but alas, I'm moving to a new city and just paid a LOT of money as a security deposit for a 3br/2bath apartment that was completely gut rehabbed. My girlfriend and I will be the first tenants in the "new" 2 flat.

You should look into wiring them up so they will automatically fold in/out when you turn the car off and on! That's what I'd want.

ya, that's kinda what i was thinking. actually, i want to wire them like a 5th gen's headlight switch. an 'auto' mode where they fold in when i turn the key off, and fold out when i start the car, with an override each way, so i could manually fold them in when the car's running, or manually fold them out when the car's off.

it will depend how the wiring works - i'll have to see when i get them. anyone know how the folding is triggered? is it: '12V on= fold OUT, off= fold OUT', or are there separate 12V signal leads for OUT and IN, or are there just two ground leads and one 12V power lead, or what? i guess i'll have to figure it out when i can play with them...

it sounds like you'll be able to just use the motorized swing hinge from these mirrors with your existing heated mirror glass...
