OEM Size Aluminum Light Weight Crank Pulley

Hey guys, DMS has had a lot of requests for OEM size, aluminum machined crank pulleys. These are especially good for guys with boost and guys with huge sound systems who cant have an under driven alternator or blower.

For this group buy to work, we need a minimum of 10 members willing to put in half payment which we estimate to be about $70 and have the total cost be $140 + Shipping.

As far as fitting VQ30 and VQ35, I need confirmation on this, I will check with Nissan and find out if the pulleys are the same size or not. Also the requirment of a timing ring for the fourth gens would be using the OEM timing ring to cut costs.

Please post and let me know if this is something everyone is interested in.

Thank You
-Nick

Thanks, looks like when we make hte pulley we need to make it with the ability to have a timing ring installed or removed to fit VQ30 and VQ35 equipped cars.

The stock timing ring looks to be a permanent part of the stock pulley. If it can be removed I don't see how it could be reused, it has no bolt holes it appears to be somehow 'pressed' into place.

The ring is attached on that OEM crank pulley and can NOT be removed. When I machine a pulley I would design it with 4 bolt holes so that I could attach a timing ring on.

Can we get BLACK?

If so, I'm in.

Also, the VQ30(95-01) and the VQ35 use the same pulley, however the VQ35 doesn't use the timing ring.

You are correct.

As for anodized colors I will most likely only anodize it in black so those of you with warranty can get away with it.

If members want other colors that will only run the price up.

Exactly!!!

That's why it sucks when you have a NEON green/blue/red pulley and no black.

Dealers changing your oil will notice it in a heartbeat.

At least with the UR black, you can black out the white writing.

As long as it's the OEM size just lighter, and will fit the VQ35--count me in!

!!!!!!PLEASE DON'T START THAT DEBATE HERE!!!!!!!!!

We ONLY want people who are interested to post please. Nothing towards you, but I KNOW someone is going to rebut that statement.

Leave this thread to buyers please.

P.S: If you don't mind, can you edit that last part out? Thanks!

And yes, I removed it.

Thanks.

Sounds cool...I think color options would be nice. Even if it's limited like black and silver or possibly also red, and blue.

You are right, that would actually be cool. I will leave some with a natural silver finish and you can anodize them any color you want.

Depending on the surface finish, its about the same. Anodized aluminum having a slight bit more grip.

*Edited*

I am interested. My one concern is that the lightened pulley would make more noise than the stock pulley. Otherwise, I am in for sure!

Not sure if I'm missing something but I just checked both the Southwest and UR sites and did not find a lightened OEM pulley offered, only the UD. Maybe this shouldn't be dead yet unless someone else can confirm info in the previous replys. Just a thought.

Check the UR website. I found they offer 2 pulleys, my guess is one of them is OEM size and one is underdriven

the part number for the oem sized pulley is 121011002. it is called the Ultra Sc. the other one is the Ultra S. oh well. i would of rather have bought it off of nick (definitive motorsports) to support the smaller company, and it was going to be cheaper!
