Need pics of Silverstars.
Re: Need pics of Silverstars.
I had the Silverstars and they were not good in wet weather, just to much glare. The concensus is that the Sylvania Xtravisions, Phillips Bluevisions, Sylvania Cool Blues are the best OEM replacements. I also include in that category the Wagner BriLites (NAPA) which I am very happy with. Just my two cents.

I took my Silverstars out after driving around with them for one week, looking for my lights on the road. Every other car's lights on the highway at night over powered those bulbs. It was like driving with no headlights on.
And forgetaboutit when it rained, it was 40 bucks wasted on lights.
BUT - I will say this much, they do look good on your car!

SILVERSTARS SUX IN THE RAIN OR WET ROADS
you need some yellow in the headlight to be able to see well in the rain, or something besides just a pure white light. I'm trying to figure out what kind of set up to use where I can see well in the rain, look better than stock type bulbs, yet not break my wallet.

MTEC BULBS
Yo! Ive been running on silverstars for a good 4 months now....they were great in the beginning! Giving a slight SILVER rainbow look outside looking at the housing.....No Blue whatsoever ...BUT SADLY
These bulbs now look seemlessly like my regular stock Phillips HALOGEN BULBS...WTF!! Now im running MTECS on headlights and fogs..man they look sweet..you can see how white the light is when youre behind a clean black glossy car. Slight blue tint...but worth the money. They go retail for around 40 bucks a pair. Luckily my friend got me hooked up for 10 bucks for a pair. Laters Homies!

Hands down, the best stock Halogen replacement 9004 bulb is the Sylvania Xtravision. They throw a lot of light on the road.
Checkout my website, page one. Just to let you know the silverstars are alright but I've just switched to a pair of Eurodesigns that I got off of Ebay. Wow! these lights are bright white with very little blue. You can see the difference anytime you pull along side another car. Great bulb. Hiper industries bulbs are also a good bulb for bright white light. Very similar to the Hids on my buddys 02' Max. I'll have pics of both these bulbs very soon.

I've used them since about november, and the only time i've had a problem with them is during heavy mountain fog. You'll see a slight bluish hue on snow with them, but that's the only problem i've had with glare. I always use my fogs with them, so if there's a problem with them on wet roads, i don't think i notice because the fogs compensate for whatever my headlights can't do. I like them, do you want pics from inside or outside of the car?

Isn't it funny how he's asked for pics yet after all these posts he hasn't gotten any? (I'm assuming). BTW, I'm getting the XD5's from the GD, ill post a pic up of what they look like on my car (once I get em).

I'll do it and post in a couple of hours......
If you want to see pics checkout my website. I've also added two bulbs. Eurodezigns on my car and Hiper Industries on my wifes. The pics don't do any of the bulbs justice but they do pic up the color of the bulbs pretty good. Notice how the Silverstars are yellower than the Eurodezigns.http://www.cardomain.com/id/bigtyme
