I just saw it earlier today. Tite as hell. I never thought the new ones looked that great but this black one in the commercial looked AWESOME!!! Very impressive. I love Nissan's commercials nowadays.

Still my favorite has to be the Maxima that went so fast in the desert its paint came off. That one was sweet.

i didn't know you could get it without the wack sunroof.. someone in my neighborhood already got a black one, and if i was gonna get another max, i would definitely got a 6th gen..

Actually, wacked sunroof, more popularly known as skyview, is base.

Moonroof is optional.

There's no such thing as a 6th gen maxima with a full steel roof.

As odd as people think the Maxima is, it is still one of those one of a kind cars. Not quite the dynamic G35, but its got more pop than a Camry or Accord. Hope Nissan can do the limboland tightrope and not let the Maxima fall out of popularity due to unique positioning.

 

Nissan's got things right these days and people are noticing and buying Nissan. I guess that means Nissan is in vogue right now.

I think that black is the only color that looks good on the new ones.

5th gen, it was a silver one, running through the dessert, hauling a$$, then the paint starts coming off...Then their slogan...Cars like it : 0...Caddy ripped off that commerical for their horribly ugly CTS...i would drive the LS1 400hp V-series CTS though, sharp, but probably will see for too much...50K+?

ANOTHER ad I like is the Jet fighter one. I dont know if they ever made it in a commercial but its in Mags. That one is just funny for me cause my best friend thinks I am a nut for hooking up a Max and racing it. He says I have a "rocket-ship". Sarcastic SOB>...

That commercial does make the new max look good but I think it has somthing to do with quick shots that don't allow you to focus in on the lines of the car. I have seen two in person, one at an auto show and one at a lot, I can not understand why they would make it look like a bubble and lose it's sedan appeal.

For the same amount of money and more standard equipment you could get a rear wheel drive with a more prestiguous name plate, Infinite G35.
