APEXi vs GReddy Cat-Back

ive seen the write up on drew's site and all, but i was hoping that people can give me the comparison through personal experience or seeing/hearing each in action..im thinking the apexi is the way to go because i want the best performance with a close-to-stock exhaust sound, and ive heard thats what apexi is for..so let me know guys, thanks

i dont think any are close to stock sound, unless u're cruising then both are quiet...but the greddy is louder and sounds much meaner when u step on it...i like the gredddy sound better than apexi

if you dont have an aftermarket y-pipe, the exhaust doesnt make much noise at all

if you do... then the Apexi WS is ALOT quieter...

any... all the Maxima guys around hear loved my Apexi WS exhaust

other than looks and noise, are there any other differences between the two? is the greddy made better than the apexi or is there known problems with either of them?

and which one has a better looking tip?

"95 GXE automatic with the APEXi WS. I've had it one month now. Great sound when accelerating, otherwise it's really quiet. I'm seeing an honest 1-2 mpg gain. Paid $363 plus $41 shipping, but I've seen it as high as $629, so definitly shop around. It fits perfectly...no surprises. Good ground clearance, too, but my car is not lowered. Even if you lower yours you should still have lots of room. I didn't want anything too loud, but I wanted a good, throaty growl when I mashed the throttle a bit. I am not disappointed; I don't think you will be either.

I've had the WS on my Max for about a year and I love it. The materials and craftsmanship are first class and the exhaust tone is very deep. Team it up with a y-pipe and it'll make riced out Civics $hit their pants.

Ive had the greddy on my car for around 2 years. The exhaust is extremely quiet outside, but it is incredibly loud inside the cabin. Only go for the greddy if you dont mind having a loud cabin and/or dont care about having a loud exterior noise when its linked to a y-pipe.

Where did you guys order your Apexi exhaust from? I'm thinking of going with the WS, Budget Y, and Frankencar Intake.. how will this all sound?

I ordered mine from www.optionsautosalon.com for $450 shipped. With your setup, your car will sound mean.

So, what I got from this thread that out of the Greddy, OBX and Apexi WS. The Apexi is most quiet, even when linked to a Y. I don't have a Y yet but I am considering it. I will have that setup with a frankencar intake aslo, a little mean is good. LOUD is not

I just went to the website and they only have the WS Listed for 95,96 in the fine writing but yet the heading says 95-99. Will it fit on the 99?

I am sorry, but i dont know if the Apexi will fit 97-99's. I dont think it does though because most sites i have been on say 95-96. And the 97-99's are a little different from the 95-96's. Thats why Greddy makes a 95-96 and a 97-99 catback.

Yes it will fit but you will need a O2 sensor bung welded in at the same location of the stock b-pipe and the exhaust tip would be more recessed into the bumper. I got it from www.adventon.com

Here is apic of my car from the rear:
SORRY THE PIC IS BLURRY....

If I get a custom b-pipe made and buy an Apexi WORLD SPORT MUFFLER, will it sound the same as their WS catback?

99's will accept a WS catback, but be prepared for this to happen...

Damn, I only paid $220 for my custom cat-back. Slightly drones at cruising, but thats why I have a nice stereo. Outside the car is pretty quiet.

But I would never pay more than $300 for catback =/
Damn name brands.

Well, I just got an OBX this week...slight fitment issue but this exhaust is quiet as hell, mine is at least because I heard of another guy in the same GD as mine with a 99 also but his turned out to be loud.

What I got is that OBX seems to have all kinds of different products, no two people seems to get the same thing.... I like mine though, paid 295 shipped and another $100 in mods
