hey guys,
i am new here and I am looking at buying a 96 GXE and I know that they are not equip with fog lights stock. I would like to add the factory fog lights to it. What would I have to do to get them?

I believe all you have to do is cut out the area for them to go in, get the foglights, brackets and harness.

 

I upgraded my maxima from a gxe to a gle with all options. So I can tell you from experience that you will need to get the complete set,(including fogs, brackets, and new blinker ***) the package that I got included everything, including instructions. I got mine from the dealership but was a bit pricee! I saw some on e-bay a while back so you can try and get a better deal there.

I bought mine for about 200 shipped last fall. I guess they were cheaper a few years ago about 150 or less.

your car is my exact car too ( down to the color and hun caps ). But in your picture i dont see the fog lights? Where did your order yours from?

I have a green 96 gxe and I added the fog lights. Fortunately I have a family member that owns a shop. He installed them. He order the lights from nissan and I think they were about $200.00. The lights come with everything needed for installation. You will have to cut out the two holes in the bumper and replace the turn signal with the one with the fog light switch.

 

Is the wiring harness already there to plug in the lights?

 

The plugs were already there. I'm not sure about the harnesses.

 

I did not take a new pic of my car yet, I have to do that soon, I have added so many things since I took that pic. I bought them from JerryRomeNissan.com, be sure to tell them you are from the board and they may give you a discount. I bought them when there was a group deal. The wiring was all there for my Max.
