and I wanted to know, can I install it myself, or should I go ahead and have a body shop do it. They're wanting to charge me $75, which i don't think is bad, but what do I know......

 

unless you've install a wing or any body-kit pieces before...it's best if you leave it to the professionals.

MY advice is to get it done. I did this one last week and ended up drilling two useless holes into the trunk, because the holes for the wing ended up going through the ribbed part of the trunk, leaving too big a hole for the bolts to go though. The center supports worked out fine, but I had to end up using two regular bolts with the same thread pattern in order to get it to sit ALMOST flush with the trunk (it sits out about 1 mm and I cant figure out how to get it any closer). The silicone sealant also made a mess, but that was purely my fault. It wasn't very difficult at all though, just need to pay attention to the little stuff. My next project is to change the door handles to body color and figure out how to change the molding around the doors, followed by 17s in the spring. Ah, the relentless persuit of perfection (oops, wrong company).

 

but you can't learn unless you do it the first time...i say go for it and make the attempt...
