Isn't the 3.6-3.33 a K060710...it can't be shorter than the 705...

FYI - its not too difficult to get one from the other...

If you have a gates number K060710 to get the goodyear #:

4060710

4 - Represents the same thing Gates' 'K' does (not sure what that is though)

06 - #of ribs

071 - Inches

0 - Tenths..

So, if you needed a K060703 for your 2.87" pully, you'd ask for a 4060703 goodyear gatorback belt.

3.00 to 2.87 - K060703

actually, Kevin fit this belt into my old 3.33.

and for 2.87 pulley, K060700 fits better than 703. but gates doesnt have this length. 703 is a bit longer and you can bend a little bit over 90 degree on the 2.87 pulley.

IMO, I prefer belts without bands and cuts....just smooth and continous ribs.

yes they are better. I did some research on them. The GTP guys are boosting higher with the gator back belts.

Well for a fact I can tell you that anything @ 3.25 too and including ASP's 3.0" pulley will use the 6 rib 695 length. I think that is the stock belt in the V1 kit which means it will work with the 3.33, 3.48, and 3.6, but I didn't buy the kit new so I can't speak for sure.

I have a 3.25 now - will that same belt work with a 3.125? I assume it would.

Was gonna go 2.87, but I think I've changed my mind, since I don't yet have 300z injectors or a Walbro, and no money for them right now.

The walbro drops your fuel pressure by 10PSI up top. I would stay with the inline. No one told me about it. Also if your intank goes out, your stuck like chuck in the middle of the road. The inline will at least get you home. Just to throwing it out

Has anybody had a Walbro go out? Just wondering if I should bring along my old fuel pump when I go to FLA next week.

I may be in this position right now. Waiting for another Walbro to show up, and the new FPR too, it's one or the other at this point.

Clamp off the fuel line after the FPR and watch your fuel pressue gauge. If the pressure goes up it's your FPR, if it does not then it is your pump.

So it does not stay constant.
If so it is your pump.

I thought it was pretty simple. I have never gotten a weird look when I go into the parts store and say 6 rib 695 length. I think it makes it easier for them actually.

They automatically assume you mean 69.5" when you say 695?

How hard is it to install a belt on a supercharged maxima and what tools would I need to not only install it but verify the correct tension??

1) You have to remove your blower

2) For belt tightening - bend extension, 12" extension, 14mm socket, 14mm hand wrench.

3) your fingers - 70-90 degree deflection.

4) buy a Chilton's manual.

Well, if the 695 length works for 3.00" and up, I'll assume a 690 will work on a 2.87" on a V1....

Whaddya all think?

Are you sure that the 2.87 pulley is a 690? or is it a 703?? I saw that the previous owner of my S/C used a 710 with the 2.87 pulley! What would that do???

Yes. It worked great for me.

I've been running it for about a month now with no issues.....even ran it on he Dyno many times.

(Dynos tend to make belts jump because of all the engine movement).
