From what I gathered, you will need to trim off a piece off the inner fender area, custom mount the stock grill in order to accommodate the headlight. Few Maxima owners have made this conversion on their own.

OMFG i would be interested in this. But I am not sure when I can have the money. Many variables. How much do you expect installation to run if one can not do it without bodyshop help?

teejnut: No, this kit is nto hi/lo kit. If you want hi/lo kit, then it'll cost you $575 for the HID kit alone.

AceFace: Groupdeal will run until June 15th, hopefully we can get 5 people on the deal.

Miasma: If you take it to bodyshop, some places won't bother with this type of work while others may charge you $25-$100.. it's hard to say b/c it all depends on the bodyshop.

i am about 80% sure i want in on this. my 95/96 lens just cracked and is presently TOTALLY fogged up. my only holdup is the installation. can someone please tell me exactly what is involved in this installation. not just speculate. I mean, is there any external body work required? What about welding? Things like that. If you guys can convince me that finding someone to install this, quickly and for $100 or less will not be too hard, then I am for sure in.

Miasma: What I mentioned on the previous post is not speculating.. those are actually what you would need to do. There's no extra 'bodywork' or 'welding' involved.

Installation

If anyone in Tri-State area is going to pick up the headlights from Ange in person in NJ. I may be able to assist you on installation (I am still in CA, but may travel back to NJ sometimes in June). Work something out with Ange, and we'll see how it goes!

you gotta remember your doing some custom work here. sometimes not everything has step by step directions...if your that worried or afraid to try it, then dont do it.

thats one of the things that has me indecisive but if i end up saying i dont want it, there has to be dozens of people that would buy it off of me. on the other hand if i say no now i lose my chance of having it if i ever wanted it.

Once you cut off some metal inside.. you may or may not go back to MAXIMA headlights.
