It has loc-tite on the threads. You may need a strap wrench to break it loose.

a fellow org member helped me with mine by twisting with a jar opener on the top, while i twisted on the bottom, and it slowly broke loose.

I tried twisting the **** off, the leather cover started spinning. I tried a strap-wrench, and the thing is still buggered on there. I just ordered a new **** and will probably just cut the **** off with a utility knife I guess.

If you already ghettoed the **** just use Vice Grips to get it off. It will turn...you just have to get past the loctite.

i used the jar opener method. dont use a wrench because it can scrape up the leather. its a ***** but it will eventually come off with the rubber jar opener grip.
